so i've been procrastinating today. really meant to get this done a while ago, and then forgot and went about reading up on random sites through out the internets, it finally dawned on me that i had failed to post this stuff. so here i am.
christmas has finally come and gone. i hope yours was good. mine was ok. i got a bunch of movies on blu ray. i think that's pretty much the easiest thing to ask for anymore since my family really doesn't like giving cash.
see, i usually just buy what i want. i want it, i find it, i buy it. done. it's rare that i want to wait for a holiday or birthday to get it as a gift. often the things i want are just too damn expensive for the wallets of my family. telling my aunt who has three kids of her own that i want a $500 netbook is more than likely going to get me laughed at, but she doesn't want to give me cash to offset the price either. so i find some movies i want.
what sucks about movies is i don't really have much time to watch them. my parents got me all the star trek movies (in their respective bundles) this year. i think there's 12 total if you count original series, the next gen, and the new "original." 24 hours worth of movie watching that i really want to take part in. i just don't have the time.
so i decided we need an extra 4 hours in the day. i figure the break down would go like this: 1 hour for work, 1 hour for sleep, 2 hours for entertainment. yes, i'm willing to work a 9 hour day to get 3 hours to sleep and be entertained. that 2 hour window is perfect for most movies worth watching or getting in a good chunk of video gaming fun. and yes, that's on top of whatever free time we have now.
hopefully the scientists and engineers get working on slowing down the rotation of the earth soon. the way i see it, it's the only way we can have our extra 4 hours and not have freaky day/night cycles.
and someone will have to invent the 14 hour clock…that might be rough, then again who looks at those clocks with hands anyway? digital all the way!
ok, football! as always, lines come from the post and the home team is in CAPS.
