i keep a copy of espn the magazine in the bathroom. it's not a terrible magazine, but it's not the best either. definitely a watered down version of sports illustrated. it is however mindless enough and packed with so much short reading that it's often the perfect size for one sitting.
wandering through the pages today i came by the peta ad. part of their "i'd rather go naked than wear fur" ad campaign. it stars kansas city chiefs atlanta falcons tight end tony gonzalez and his favourite month, erm, wife october.
a few questions came to mind:
1. why is tony gonzalez naked in my magazine?
2. did we really need tony gonzalez in the picture to make his hot naked wife relevant?
3. who names their kid october?
4. why are people in these ads only naked in the ad? if you'd rather go naked, go naked…
5. when are the anti peta people going to take pictures of homeless people with the tag line "could i have your fur please?"
6. damn, am i out of baby wipes?
