so i head downstairs to devour a grilled chicken sandwich. on the table as if it was left there for me and me alone is this book. "trek the stars: a self-help guide for the young and the young at heart."
so it got me thinking, what the fuck does a dopey kid wearing a hawaiian shirt have to do with anything, let alone self help? and why the fuck would i read a book about self help? isn't that sort of defeating the purpose?
so i leafed through the book and found a section entitled "modern times."

i beg to differ. if you're a midget with jaundice and lack hands and eyes, you're pretty fucked. unless of course you can convince a bunch of disenfranchised israelites to believe you're a golden calf…but that didn't work out to well for anyone involved.
Where did the book come from? Can’t find any reference to it anywhere else.
mik, i have no idea. i’m a concierge in an apartment building so i can only imagine one of my porters found it in one of the compactor rooms.
i never thought to search for it.
it was “Printed in India at D C Press Ltd., Kottayam 686 012″ in July 2003 with a reprinting in September 2003.

Actually, that would matter quite a bit. No eyes and no hands present HUGE problems for staying alive, and/or reading this book.
